Meeting of DGZfP-U35-Members at ifw Jena

On September 17 2019 the meeting of the U35 members of the German Society for non-destructive Testing took place at ifw Jena. The young members meet regularly to talk about their work and ideas in the DGZfP.

The German Society for Non-Destructive Testing e. V. and its approximately 1,500 corporate and personal members are dedicated to research, development, application and dissemination of non-destructive materials testing. One focus of the association's work is the introduction of young people to non-destructive testing and to inspire them for the procedures.

For this purpose, a team of members under the age of 35 was formed within the association, which sets and pursues the goals of young professionals in the association, but also supports the promotion of young talent. The group meets on a regular basis to discuss new ideas and to coordinate needs with the board, so that the participation of young members in the association is promoted.

This Tuesday, the group met at ifw Jena. In addition to intensive discussions on the recruitment of young talents and the future direction of the association, the guests were also able to get an idea of ​​the different fields of research of ifw Jena on site – and end the day with an evening visit to the Jena Old Town Festival.
