ESF-funding for welding trainings

As part of the funding guidelines of the GfAW – Gesellschaft für Angewandte Wirtschaftsförderung mbH – from 21.10. until 22.12.2019 welder training courses in the welding training ceter of ifw Jena are funded.

For Thuringian companies, it is always difficult to find skilled workers. In addition to the search for qualified employees, many employers also focus on the internal and external further education of their own staff.

ifw Jena has been providing welding training courses in all standard welding processes for more than 25 years. In order to make these courses even more accessible to Thuringian companies, the offers will be funded by the Free State of Thuringia from 21 October to 22 December 2019 with funds from the European Social Fund.

The funding allows participants to participate in the courses at no extra cost and thus qualify for future challenges in the field of welding technology.

The funding includes training courses for welding processes

  • Tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) of steel
  • Tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) of chromium / nickel steel
  • Metal inert gas welding (metal active gas (MAG) and metal inert gas (MIG)) of steel
  • Metal inert gas welding (metal active gas (MAG) and metal inert gas (MIG)) of chromium / nickel steel
  • Arc welding

Each course consists of 80 lessons, which can be completed on individual dates during the eligibility period.
