Course for specialist for additive manufacturing

From December 2 to 6, 2019, ifw Jena held its first course as a specialist for additive manufacturing specializing in metal. The extensive training is based on DVS Guideline 3602-1.

ifw Jena is one of the first providers of this course in Germany.

In the five-day course, participants get to know the process chain of additive manufacturing in detail. In addition to various processes for the additive manufacturing of metal components, the course also focuses on production-oriented design, data preparation, handling of various plants, post-processing and quality assurance of the finished components.

The course has a strong practical orientation – all theoretical contents are accompanied by practical demonstrations and exercises. The participants prepare the data production-oriented. They work directly on the systems and thus get to know the individual process steps of the process themselves.

At the end of the course, all participants will take an examination to qualify as a specialist for additive manufacturing processes specialising in metal.
