Seminars at ifw Jena 2020
The courses and qualification offers at ifw Jena are mainly aimed at welders and employees in metalworking companies. For example, in June the training for welding supervisors for reinforcing steel welding will be offered and from October the training for welding specialists will be offered again.
In the field of materials testing, there are various training courses not only for materials testers. In April and September, for example, the basics of materials technology will be taught to buyers and quality assurance staff.
New to the programme are the seminars "Visual testing" and "Penetraion testing", which impart comprehensive knowledge of the respective non-destructive testing methods in 5 training days each.
Following the successful start of last year of training for laser safety officers and specialist for additive manufacturing processes specializing in metal, these seminars will be offered on two different dates in 2020.
In 2019, ifw Jena offered various courses for the first time, which were funded under the further training guidelines of the Free State of Thuringia for the qualification of Thuringian specialists. A renewed subsidy for the Lcourses on various welding processes has also been applied for in 2020 so that employees at Thuringian companies can participate in the courses without incurring additional fees.
