Next training for intenational welding specialists starts in November

Every year, ifw Jena offers training to become an International Welding Specialist in accordance with DVS-IIW 1170. Welders regularly undergo further training here to expand their knowledge and skills and take on more responsibility in welding work.

In many companies, the welding specialist is often the employee primarily responsible for all welding technology processes and supervises the welding work. Extensive training is a prerequisite for qualification.

At ifw Jena, this training to become an International Welding Specialist is offered on a part-time basis.

In accordance with DVS guidelines, the training comprises around 300 teaching units and, in addition to extensive knowledge of the individual welding processes, also includes topics such as materials science, occupational safety, business management and legal principles for welding work. The schedule also includes practical courses on the welding processes and materials testing.

The next seminar starts on November 5, 2021 and ends on April 9, 2022. Registration is now open. Classes will be held every Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
