ESF-funded welding trainings until end of 2020

Within the framework of the further training guideline of Thuringia for the qualification of Thuringian workers, ifw Jena's courses will again be supported by the European Social Fund this year.

From October to December 2019, ifw Jena was able to offer ESF-funded training courses for various welding processes. Since February 10, 2020, courses have again been funded. The funding enables participants to take part in the courses without paying any fees. Employers only have to guarantee that the participants are regularly employed during the training. The subsidy is valid until 24 December 2020.

This makes it easier for Thuringian companies to meet their needs for skilled workers by providing further training for their employees.

Funding is available for courses on the following welding processes:

  • Tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding of steel
  • Tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding of chrome/nickel steel
  • Metal inert gas welding (metal active gas (MAG) and metal inert gas (MIG)) of steel
  • Metal inert gas welding (metal active gas (MAG) and metal inert gas (MIG)) of chrome/nickel steel
  • Arc Welding

Each course consists of 80 or 120 teaching units, the dates can be set individually by the participants.
