Successful completion of the welding specialist course 2019/20

The participants from various industrial sectors completed around 300 theoretical and practical teaching units in their entire training as international welding specialists. The courses took place every Friday and Saturday after regular working hours from October 2019 to May 2020 at ifw Jena and its Certified DVS-Training Center. At the end of the training there were written and oral examinations, which all participants successfully passed. As of today, they can bear the title International Welding Specialist.

For more than 20 years, ifw Jena has been offering training as an international welding specialist in accordance with DVS-IIW Guideline 1170. Every year welders complete this training, which qualifies them to take on more responsibility in their companies and to supervise and carry out advanced welding work.

All participants and examiners attended the examinations wearing face masks as a matter of course and kept sufficient distance from each other so as not to endanger themselves or each other.
