Again ESF-funded welding courses at ifw Jena

Until June 30, 2022, welding courses at ifw Jena will again be supported with funding from the European Social Fund. The funding is part of the further education directive of the Free State of Thuringia for the qualification of Thuringian skilled workers.

For two years now, ifw Jena has been offering ESF-funded training courses for various welding processes. The funding enables Thuringia companies to further educate their employees and provide them with training as fillet welders, sheet metal welders or pipe welders in various processes. No fees are charged for participation in the subsidized training courses. In this way, Thuringian companies can secure their need for skilled workers by providing their employees with further training. Employers need only ensure that participants are regularly employed during the training.

The funding is valid until June 30, 2022.

Funding is available for courses on the following welding processes

  • Tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) of steel
  • Tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) of chromium/nickel steel
  • Tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) of aluminum
  • Metal inert gas welding (MAG) of steel
  • Shielded metal arc welding (metal active gas (MAG)) of chrome/nickel steel
  • Shielded metal arc welding (metal inert gas (MIG)) of aluminum
  • Manual arc welding (E-Hand) of steel
  • Gas welding/autogenous welding

The courses comprise a total of 80 or 120 teaching units (10 or 15 course days). Courses on aluminum welding and gas/arc welding always comprise 80 teaching units (10 course days).
