Training for international welding supervisors started

Participants can now look forward to over 300 theoretical and practical training units until the end of March 2024. The training takes place every Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

During the training, the participants receive the necessary knowledge from the scientists and engineers at ifw Jena about welding processes, materials, construction methods and standards and regulations so that they can then take on responsibility as welding supervisors for the welding work carried out in their company. The courses are taught by scientists, technicians and engineers from the various departments at ifw Jena. This allows the lecturers to contribute their specialist knowledge and experience from their research work at the institute and teach the participants the extensive subject matter in a practical way.

The current training is also hybrid. Welders are free to attend the course on site at ifw Jena or online from any other location.
