Pass on your knowledge and experience at ifw Jena
At ifw Jena, welders are trained in all common processes. Hand-held laser beam welding has also been trained since 2023.
The institute's welding instructors provide individual support to course participants, give advice and tips on the welding processes and pass on their knowledge and their own experience as welders. They conduct theoretical and practical lessons as well as examinations for the participants.
To support the further training courses offered by ifw Jena, we are looking for a
Welding instructor (m/f/d)
YOUR TASKS
- Planning and implementation of practical and theoretical welding training in adult education and inter-company apprentice training
- Teaching the necessary welding knowledge and manual skills in accordance with DVS guidelines and other standards
- Test supervision during the acceptance of welder tests
- Participation in the organization of company seminars and specialist further training, e.g. as a lecturer in training to become an international welding specialist
- Providing expert advice to companies and participants
- Maintenance and care as well as further development of technical equipment
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety and workshop regulations
- Collaboration in the creation and adaptation of teaching materials
YOUR PROFILE
- Technical vocational training with certification as a DVS welding instructor or DVS welding foreman in the common welding processes
- Willingness for continuous personal, technical and didactic development, e.g. in dealing with welding simulators
- Confident handling of applicable standards and guidelines in the training sector
- Commitment and pleasure in passing on your knowledge and experience to participants/groups
OUR OFFER
- Permanent employment contract with remuneration based on the public service pay scale
- Full-time employment (40 hours/week)
