Geförderte Schweißerausbildung am ifw Jena

Trained welders are in high demand in metalworking companies. It is becoming increasingly important for companies to train and develop their employees in welding technology.

In order to support companies in finding and retaining qualified personnel, ifw Jena offers training for welders in all common processes.

Training at ifw Jena also benefits from the research work carried out at the institute. Current scientific findings and results from research projects flow directly into the teaching.

The Free State of Thuringia, co-financed with funds from the European Social Fund (ESF) Plus, supports the welding courses at ifw Jena as part of the vocational adaptation qualification of employees. The funding means that there are no fees for attending the course.

  • Funding is provided for training in the following processes
  • TIG welding of steel, Cr-Ni steel or aluminum
  • MAG welding of steel, Cr-Ni steel or aluminum
  • Gas welding (autogenous welding) and manual arc welding (manual metal arc welding) of steel
  • Reinforcing steel welding (manual electric or MAG)

Self-employed persons and employees in Thuringian companies can take part.
