Efficient and flexible shielding gas nozzle

The aim of the proposed project is to develop and qualify efficient and flexible shielding gas nozzles for laser deep welding. The implementation is to be based on a flexible shielding gas supply and several compatible nozzle end pieces.
The comparatively slim and flexible shielding gas supply system is intended to enable welding within pockets and other non-planar structures. Furthermore, this gas supply system should enable faster and more precise setup of the nozzles. The various nozzle end pieces to be connected then ensure defined and process-optimized flows, which saves shielding gas and increases process stability. The aim is to develop nozzle end pieces that enable more efficient welding of flat geometries such as sheet metal, but also welding of more complex structures.
