With our CO2 and ultra-short pulse lasers we are able to process different materials like glass, wood or metals.
Different lasers are available with the laser processing systems at ifw Jena. The wavelengths range from 10.6 μm (CO2 laser) over 1064 nm (solid-state and fiber lasers) down to 532 nm and 343 nm (frequency-multiplied solid-state lasers). Up to a power of 3.5 kW, various laser sources are available, which can cover all modes of operation, from continuous wave operation to femtosecond pulses. Flexible beam shaping, i. e. by means of a spacial light modulator enables the specific adaption of the laser beam shape to your application.
Lasers offer great possibilities for processing glasses or brittle materials. They enable high geometric flexibility and a high degree of individuality to fulfill all your requirements in the components. With our expertise and our laser-systems we offer a variety of services in the field of laser material processing.
