EMProBio

The aim of the research group is to improve energy and resource efficiency in the production of plastic components through targeted material substitution. It focuses on the use of composite materials with fillers made from renewable raw materials (biogenic plastics) in order to realize sustainable production processes and reduce energy requirements, emissions and the use of raw materials. The focus of the project is on the development and characterization of energy- and material-efficient primary forming processes and their downstream joining processes.
