Analysis of stress in adhesive bondings
The aim is to compare stresses and their effects in innovative plastics and their bonded joints. Their changes during the service life cycle, caused by application-related loads, will also be considered. For this purpose, a method is to be developed to make stresses and their changes measurable or visible by means of non-destructive testing. These stress states are to be tracked by means of digital radiographic testing. By means of comparative destructive testing, a correlation between the findings and the maximum load capacity is to be found. Together with the FZU Halle, correlations between the findings of sonic testing and radiographic testing are to be found in order to determine the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods. The aim of the two projects is to qualify the non-destructive testing of bonded joints for the first time.
