Förderkennzeichen: 03EN5025F
Projektlaufzeit: 01.08.2022 bis 31.07.2025

Ceramic H₂ sensor development of a ceramic pressure sensor platform for hydrogen management of the industrial materials management of the future.

In sensors for hydrogen management, the materials are subject to high stress due to hydrogen corrosion and diffusion, but must be insulation-resistant and temperature-stable. The aim of this project is to develop a technology platform for hydrogen pressure sensors in the field of electrochemical hydrogen production and processing in fuel cells. Two design concepts are to be developed and compared with regard to their suitability:
Sensor made of ceramic membrane and ceramic base body, both of which are manufactured separately and subsequently joined gas-tight with special glass solders by laser beam soldering.
Sensor made of ceramic membrane and base body made of a special ceramic-like composite (polymer ceramics), whereby the base body is to be manufactured by injection molding with simultaneous integration of the membrane.
